Cerart 2010 details
Date: 2010
Description: What is Cerart? It‘s a small group of ceramists, glass glowers and email/metalists who were joined by a few beloved sculptors of decorative arts, in one word of fire arts. The Cerart’s date of birth coincides with the organization of Bolyai ceramics Symposium, held inside the medieval fortress in Tg.Mures (August 2007), it is due mainly because we had the opportunity to know each other better by working together in a joint workshop, sharing our experiences, ideas and solving technologies. Raku actions followed that also required to work jointly as a group, thus united us as a group founder of artists, colleagues but also good friends. Bases being made, we drew funding provided for cultural activities by the Mures County Council, so we managed to organize three Cerart exhibitions in 2007, 2009, and 2010, all in Tg.Mures. The saloon is growing, from year to year we invite more artists around the country but we have in mind to extend these invitations abroad as well . We also wish to take the Cerart saloon in other Romanian cities, the nearest will be held in Bucharest in August 2011, and in perspective to organize exhibitions in towns twinned with our town. In conclusion, we want to make our presence on the big stage of Romanian and foreign decorative arts and to bring our contribution for unifying the image maker of beautiful arts through fire.
