Cerart 2009 details
Date: 2009
Description: The Saloon of Fire Art In the alchemical component of ceramic objects, regardless of their definition: either prosaic or refining the senses, there are primary elements mentioned, in the same proportion of emergency fire and water. Therefore, the origins of the occupations ranking high art can be placed in an atavistic time when the sky had broken away from earth. Since the beginning, imposing unrestrictive the expression of high demanding and finalities, the present saloon gathers a variety of stylistic directions and visions, a jovial conversation between the spirit of younger generation to seniors , but also between circumscribed areas of the decorative arts: of ceramics (with its royal-porcelain), glass and enamel on metal - as new items introduced this year. However, the parsimony with which the artists of these branches pad out, customize more the performance. Many things separate the 19 artists, ceramists and glaziers, starting with the choice of motives and ending with the arsenal of used techniques. But there is one common denominator of this plastic speech consisted of many different voices. In one word, it would be called mastery. Concern for human in a broad sense for the infinite possibilities of its hypostasis, going on a familiar communication between the artist and the world, is the binder of Saloon of ceramics. Returning to the personal, taking over and restoring the idea of Mana Bucur, each present in the exhibition have recurrent beliefs that recur with obstinacy in their artistic approach. Overthought, decanted and filtered for a while, in itself, they are all revealed through the finite object. So, in this way were born the boxes of the above mentioned artist, trapped boxes of imprisoned obsessions which are released on exposure. Cora Fodor, art historian
